7 essential tips before you leave for holidays

Summer is coming! Probably for some (lucky) of you it has already started! Today we want to give you some tips before you leave for holidays to make sure you don’t forget all the important things to do.

Actually we couldn’t write down all the essentials because it depends on the locations you’re staying but we hope we will help you to carry all the important stuff! 😉

  1. Plan your luggage for your holidays

Before planning anything else you need to decide for the perfect luggage solution. Of course that depends a lot from where you are going and for how long. If the travel policy allows you to do it, we suggest you to take only one large sized solution or, if you leave for a longer time, take with you also a small sized luggage.

Once you decided how many and how big your luggages will be, you can start planning all the things you can pack!!

If you fly and you have a small luggage to take with you in the cabin, here’s a list of things you should put in it in case they lose your boarded luggage:

  • All your health stuff (that you will find below);
  • At least a couple of underwear and daily outfits;
  • A pair of shoes;
  • All the technology stuff;
  • A toothbrush and a small toothpaste.

  1. Make sure you have all the documents and money stuff

The second essential step to do is preparing all the documents you need. Also in this case it depends on your holiday! We suggest you to write down a list of the following docs and take the ones you really need for your trip:

  • Passport or ID document;
  • Visa;
  • Flight and hotel/apartment reservations;
  • Credit cards or cash;
  • Driving license;
  • Itinerary;
  • Maps and directions;
  • Insurance docs;
  • Guides or travel books.

  1. Think carefully about location outfits

Before putting all your wardrobe stuff in the luggage, take a minute and think carefully! 😊 Usually we believe that we need every single outfit but it’s just an illusion. On the basis of how long you holidays will be focus on the outfits you can create with the clothes you’re taking with you.

Are you staring at a beautiful pair of shoes that will be perfect for a glamorous beach party? Well think twice before taking them with you for a cold place holiday!

Make sure that you can create as many outfits as you can with the clothes in your luggage so you can save space for all the other things you will have to carry. You should do the same for the shoes, find two or three pairs of shoes that you can use for more than one occasion!

Uh! Don’t forget a bag to collect all the dirty clothes to wash!

  1. Don’t forget technology!

Today it’s impossible not to think about a specific technology space. Make sure that you have all the things you need for your holidays: cameras, chargers, tablet, headphones, batteries, music player, etc.. Don’t forget the adaptor plug if you travel in a foreign country!!

  1. Personal care and beauty

Well this stuff is pretty personal….just consider to take with you all the essential things for your trip on the basis of what you will find or not in the place you’re reaching. We just suggest to have a toothbrush and toothpaste as personal care must-haves! The rest of things you’re carrying is your responsibility and it depends on the space you saved in your luggage! 😉

Don’t forget sunscreen and insect repellent if the locations are humid and sunny…or just sunny!

  1. Health stuff

Make sure you have essentials for your health in case of need. If you suffer from travel sickness don’t forget the medication that you usually use to cure it. It can also help to take salty food to reduce your sickness. Remember that the day you will be leaving you should prefer a tea instead of a coffee.

You don’t need to carry all the medications you have at home but it could be useful to have at least an anti-inflammatory and a flu remedy.

  1. Must-haves

Just a flash look to the must-haves we didn’t have the time to suggest:

  • A good book;
  • A notebook for your memories;
  • A travel pillow;
  • An umbrella;
  • A torchlight;
  • An hand sanitizer.

How can you remember all these things and personalize the list on the basis of your holiday? Make sure you have a good and colorful notepad to write down your own lists and check you did everything! 😉
